the short version

• Patreon takes your payment. We never see your card details.
• From Patreon we receive your name, email, tier and payment status, so we can run your Membership and your Discord perks.
• The Website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets one cookie to remember that you passed the age check.
• Nothing is sold. We do not use your data to train AI.
• You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold.

1Who we are and what this covers

1.1 Controller. Sir Dominic Scott ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described here. We are a sole proprietor based in Glasgow, Scotland, and the United Kingdom's data protection law applies to us, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1.2 What this covers. This policy covers goonbate.com (the "Website"), the Goonbate™ membership (the "Membership"), and the Goonbate parts of The Haus of Sir Discord server, including tier roles, direct messages and file requests.

1.3 What it does not cover. Patreon and Discord are independent companies. Your Patreon account, your payments and your Discord account are covered by their own privacy policies. They decide what they collect and share, including what they share with us.

2What we collect

2.1 When you visit the Website.

• Age check. You type your date of birth. It is checked in your browser and never sent to us or stored. If you pass, a cookie called age_verified remembers it for 30 days. If you do not, a note stays in that browser tab so the check cannot be retried straight away.
• Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server records each request: the IP address, date and time, the page or file asked for, the response, and the browser's identification string (the "user agent").

The Website loads nothing from other companies: no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. The audio previews are played from our own server.

2.2 From Patreon, when you join or your Membership changes. Patreon sends us a notice for each change: joining, changing tier, a payment, cancelling. It contains your name, email address, Patreon user ID and profile details, your tier, your membership status, the amounts you have paid and will pay, the dates of your last and next charge and whether the last one succeeded, whether it is a free trial or a gift, and the accounts you have linked on Patreon, including your Discord ID if you linked Discord. It never contains your card or bank details.

2.3 In The Haus of Sir. When your Patreon account is linked to Discord, your tier role is given and removed automatically. Our bot checks roles to keep one tier role per member, and records what it changed.

Chat log. For safety, the server's bot keeps a log of the messages posted in the server's community channels, with any pictures or files attached, for 6 months. It is used to moderate the server and to deal with reports and breaches of the rules. Certain words and phrases alert a moderator. After 6 months it is deleted automatically.

Sir AI. Sir AI, the server's chat character, writes its replies with Anthropic's AI service. Messages sent to it are used only to write the reply. Nothing is used to train AI.

Direct messages and file requests to Sir Dominic Scott contain whatever you choose to write, and are held by Discord or Patreon, wherever you sent them.

2.4 If you contact us. Your email address, your name and whatever you write to us.

2.5 What we do not collect. Your card or bank details, your date of birth, your password, your precise location, your contacts, or anything from analytics or advertising tools.

3Sensitive information

Goonbate™ is adult, sexual hypnosis content. The fact that someone is a member, or which tier they hold, could reveal information about their sex life or sexual interests, which the law treats as special category data. We treat all member data as sensitive: we keep it to what the Membership needs, restrict who can see it, and never publish it.

We process this information on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by joining the Membership after reading this policy, and, where records are needed to establish, bring or defend legal claims, on that basis. You can withdraw your consent at any time by cancelling your Membership and emailing us. Because the Membership cannot run without this information, withdrawing consent ends your Membership. It does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

4Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4.1 To run your Membership (contract). Knowing who you are, which tier you hold and whether your payments are up to date lets us give you the Content and perks you pay for, set your Discord roles, and answer your messages and file requests.

4.2 To keep it adults-only (legal obligation and legitimate interests). The age check helps keep people under 18 away from adult material. Our legitimate interest is protecting children and complying with the law on adult content.

4.3 To protect the Content and deal with misuse (legitimate interests). Membership and payment records help us enforce the Terms, act on leaked Content, stop account sharing, handle payment disputes and chargebacks, and remove people who break the rules. Our legitimate interest is protecting our work and our members.

4.4 To keep the Website secure and working (legitimate interests). Server logs let us find faults, block attacks and keep the Website available. Our legitimate interest is running a secure service.

4.5 To know when people join (legitimate interests). A short notice of each new member, with their name, email address and tier, is posted to a private staff channel on Discord so the team can welcome people and spot problems. Our legitimate interest is running the community well.

4.6 To keep our records (legal obligation and legitimate interests). We keep payment records we need for tax and accounts, and to deal with disputes.

4.7 To answer you (legitimate interests). If you contact us, we use what you send to reply.

4.8 To keep the community safe (legitimate interests). The chat log and keyword alerts let staff act on reports, rule breaks and risks to members. Our legitimate interest is keeping The Haus of Sir safe.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI.

5Cookies and storage on your device

• age_verified: remembers for 30 days that you passed the age check, so you are not asked on every visit. It is strictly necessary for an adults-only site, so it does not need your consent.
• A note in the browser tab (session storage) if the age check turned you away. It is deleted when the tab is closed.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Patreon and Discord set their own cookies on their own sites, under their own policies.

6Who can see it

6.1 Us. Sir Dominic Scott, and the few people who help run Goonbate™ and The Haus of Sir, where they need it for that work. The staff channel that shows new members is private to staff.

6.2 Our service providers. They process data for us to provide their service:

• Hetzner Online: hosts our server, in Helsinki, Finland;
• Patreon: sells and delivers the Membership and takes payment;
• Discord: hosts The Haus of Sir, the tier roles and messages;
• Anthropic: the AI service Sir AI uses to write its chat replies. It processes the messages sent to it for that purpose only.

Patreon and Discord are also responsible for their own processing as independent controllers.

6.3 Authorities and legal claims. We may share information where the law requires it, with the police or a regulator where needed to prevent or report crime or protect someone's safety, and where needed to establish, bring or defend legal claims, including against people who share the Content without permission.

6.4 Payment disputes. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, we may give Patreon or your bank information about your Membership and your use of it.

6.5 Professional advisers. Our lawyers or accountants, where needed, under a duty of confidence.

6.6 A new operator. If someone takes over running Goonbate™, the records needed to continue it may pass to them, under this policy.

7International transfers

Our server is in Finland, in the European Economic Area, which the United Kingdom recognises as providing adequate protection. Patreon, Discord and Anthropic are based in the United States and process data there and elsewhere. Where personal data goes to the United States or another country without adequate protection, the transfer relies on the UK's adequacy regulations for the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the standard data protection clauses approved for the UK (the International Data Transfer Addendum) in that provider's own terms.

8How long we keep it

• Membership and payment notices from Patreon: while you are a member, and then for up to 6 years, for our accounts and in case of a dispute or claim.
• Bot records of role changes: while you are a member, and then for up to 6 years.
• The chat log: 6 months, then deleted automatically. Messages needed for a report, a breach of the rules or a legal claim may be kept until that is resolved.
• Emails you send us: as long as needed to deal with them.
• Server logs: deleted automatically on a rolling basis, normally within 6 months.
• The age_verified cookie: 30 days, on your own device.

Records needed for a dispute, a legal claim or an investigation may be kept until it is resolved.

9Security

The Website is served only over HTTPS. Membership records are kept on a server only we administer, outside the Website's public folders, and the Patreon notices are checked with a signature so that only genuine ones are accepted. We never receive card details. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, and if a breach is likely to put you at high risk, we will tell you.

10Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• erase it, where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
• restrict how we use it;
• object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests;
• portability: receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable form;
• withdraw consent, where we rely on consent, at any time.

We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects. Tier roles follow your Patreon status automatically, and you can ask for a person to check them.

To use any of these rights, email hello@sirdominic.scot from the address on your Patreon account, or tell us which Discord account it is about. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours. We will reply within one month. There is no charge.

Some rights are limited. For example, we may keep payment records we need for our accounts, or records needed for a legal claim, even after an erasure request. Data held by Patreon or Discord must be requested from them.

11Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk. If you live in the European Economic Area, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

12Under 18s

Goonbate™ is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will end that access and delete the records we are not required to keep. If you believe someone under 18 is a member, email us.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Membership or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change significantly affects how your data is used, we will also tell members on Patreon or in The Haus of Sir.
